Eating and Drinking Damnation

SOME have been indoctrinated to believe that because Jesus did HIS redemptive work perfectly on the cross, that they have no personal responsibility to obey God. The wolves who mislead them have told them that they’ll be in Heaven no matter what but their rewards will vary based on obedience. But Jesus says “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21)

When we get to know the LORD ourselves by diligently studying His Word, a whole different picture arises in our hearts. The concept or wording “once saved always saved” or “eternal security” or “perseverance of the saints” appear no where in God’s Word. In fact, these concepts blatantly contradict God’s Word.

The only person who could be misled by this damning lie would be the individual who refuses to know God himself by personal diligent study, humility, and repentance (2 Timothy 2:15). But that’s just it – many do not want to know the truth. They’d rather bask in the lie that gives them the fairy tale idea that they can live as they wish in this life and no matter what, they will be in Heaven. This is a lie from hell.

When they think of the atoning death of Christ, they picture that Jesus died once for all and that the only responsibility they have is to receive initial salvation. All the rest of what Jesus and His apostles taught is off the table – out of sight and out of mind. They want nothing to do with that cross Jesus commanded to be taken up daily to follow Him (Luke 9:23-24, etc.). Such is view as optional.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Galatians 6:7-8

So many are taught and believe that since they had one moment of faith, they are justified and Heaven bound no matter who they conduct their life on this earth.
“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4

Remember how we are instructed to “shew the Lord’s death till he come”?

“For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.” 1 Corinthians 11:26
